![]() Except as the act or other applicable law may otherwise require: The consignor is responsible for the correctness of the particulars and statements relating to the cargo which he inserts in the air consignment note.ī) Receipt by the person entitled to delivery of cargo without complaint is prima-facie evidence that the same has been delivered in good condition and in accordance with the contract of carriage. The consignor is liable to the carrier for any damage occasioned by the absence, insufficiency or irregularity of any such information or documents. The consignor must furnish such information and documents as are necessary to meet formalities of custom, octroi or police before the cargo can be delivered to the consignee. Client will be responsible for proper packing of their fragile and sensitive products.Į) UNS’s settlement of claim against a shipment cannot be more than the retail value of the product(s) being shipped. Any kind of damages during transit will be the responsibility of the client. No claims will be entertained if a shipment is delivered to the consignee in acceptable condition.ĭ)Ĝlaim will not be admissible for damages to the shipment. This is the responsibility of the client to ensure exact number of items inside the parcel as the quantity inside the parcel is not known to UNS. Claims will not be admissible in case seal is broken / torn of the packages / flyersĬ) UNS will not be responsible for any shortages claimed by the consignee.
